What first caught my attention about this stallion was how incredibly strong and noble he looked. He stood very still and completely self-assured, with a presence that immediately made me want to photograph him.
I’ve always felt comfortable around horses, so rather than trying to make him pose, I waited and watched. What I particularly liked was the strength of his shape and the expression in his face.
I chose black and white because it stripped away anything distracting and kept the attention on the stallion himself, his strength and the character in his expression.
