I took this photograph on the south coast of Fuerteventura, using my water housing to capture a completely different perspective of a breaking wave.
Rather than taking a conventional wave photograph, I wanted to create something more abstract, something that conveyed the feeling of actually being inside the wave rather than looking at it from a distance.
What I particularly love about this image is the way the light sparkles across the water, creating beautiful soft circles of light against the deep blues. There is an almost otherworldly quality to it that I find fascinating.
For me, it's a photograph that captures the wonderful feeling of being immersed in the ocean, seeing something that would be impossible to experience in quite the same way from the shore.
