SENTINEL

from £800.00
Size:

Sentinel was photographed on North Beach at Nazaré, Portugal. What caught my attention was the husky standing quietly beside its owner’s surfboard, patiently watching the sea and waiting for him to return. There was something very loyal and almost protective about the way the dog held its position, and I knew immediately that I wanted to photograph the scene.

I chose black and white because it simplified the image and strengthened the sense of solitude, allowing the dog, surfboard and empty beach to become the focus. The panoramic format reinforces that feeling of space. Sentinel is available as a limited-edition fine art beach photography print and works particularly well at large scale in contemporary interiors.
