I have always been drawn to the power and movement of the ocean. Some of the photographs in this collection were created from within the sea using a professional water housing, while others were made from the shoreline or from different vantage points. What connects them is my fascination with the constantly changing shape, light and energy of the water.
I don’t set out with a fixed idea of what I want to capture. Usually I see something — a movement, a quality of light or a fleeting moment — that makes me feel something, and that is when I press the shutter. These photographs are available as large, limited-edition fine art prints for collectors, contemporary homes and interior-design projects worldwide.
This stunning large photo print showcases the dynamic movement of water, brought to life through the use of a slow shutter speed that creates a delightful painterly effect. I took the image as the golden sunlight reflected off the face of the wave during sunset hour and used my camera’s water housing to allow me capture the picture from the water.
